Since 1978 Carrières PLO have been working the most important extraction site in France, situated in Saint-Salvy-de-la-Balme, which is today ranked as one of Europe's major sites. Five extraction faces over 20 hectares are currently being worked, producing 1500m3 per month of blue-grey medium - grain granite known as SILVERSTAR. In the Pyrenees, Carrières PLO also work the lode of a prestigious marble known as SARRANCOLIN which exists in 3 varieties : Versailles, Framboisé, Opera Fantastico. Jean-Pierre Plo
